In the wake of the Literary Year of Alki Zei (2023), a group art exhibition entitled "A tale for Alki" is taking place at the Diachronic Museum of Larissa from February 11 until April 21, 2024, offering a historical and at the same time psychographic view of her dense world. Through archival and photographic material, original objects and embedded tender tributes from artists who grew up with her work, the two curators, Iris Kritikou and Nikos Vatopoulos, designed the exhibition, which was originally organized by the Hellenic American Union and METECHMIO publications in the fall of 2023.
From the much-loved “Wildcat under glass” or “Peter's Great Walk”, which listen and narrate Greek destiny, to the narration of the autobiography “With pencil Faber number two”, which is a spiritual tribute to the Athens of WWII, we travel with Alki and we are indelibly captivated by her writing. The exhibition, in addition to Alki, presents the people she met and loved, the memories of Samos, her charming Athenian wanderings and markings, but also the places she crossed, from Paris to Moscow and Tashkent.
